I'k the author of this recipe...I'm glad and so many people are enjoying it. One thing I notice is that many reviewers are saying that ane/2 loving cup of butter makes likewise much sauce. It does make a lot of sauce, but the reason for us is that my family likes to dip their breadstuff in the excess sauce to sop it up. Regardless, I'm happy to share one of my family's favorites with y'all!
08/12/2010
YUMMY! Subsequently reviewing other notes..., I decided to subtract the amount of sauce - I used 3 T butter, three T Dark-brown Sugar & ane T honey with a dash of cinnamon... I steamed 1 pound of baby carrots since we similar prefer our carrots a footling less done for about x minutes and and so tossed them in the sauce. They were succulent!
04/02/2009
Big hit!! I did have to cook my carrots a lilliputian longer than 15 minutes...
03/19/2009
This recipe never lets me down and goes not bad with any repast!
04/08/2009
Really adept! I used smaller baby carrots and halved the glaze, simply at that place still was enough to glaze the carrots. Thank you for a simple recipe!
04/17/2009
Everyone liked this. I doubled it, simply information technology was too much liquid - would probably not utilize as much butter side by side fourth dimension.
10/23/2009
Peachy side dish! I used a steam in bag of infant carrots and cut the amount of topping in half and added some cinnamon and nutmeg.
11/14/2009
Great flavor. As some other posters noted, this does make a lot of sauce for the amount of carrots. Next fourth dimension I will halve the corporeality of sauce so less butter is wasted in the bottom of the pot at the end.
11/08/2009
I normally use butter and brown sugar, but the added honey was a nice touch. Definitely a keeper! Enjoyed!!
06/07/2010
I only offer constructive criticism for these sweet goodies. Cleaning up, I couldn't help but detect all of the butter sauce left in the pot. Listen you, we ate all of the carrots. Out of curiosity, I measured information technology and in that location was most 1 cup of unused sauce. I was bummed because I felt like I just wasted ½ loving cup of butter and ½ cup of brown carbohydrate. Since you just add the carrots to the sauce v minutes before serving, it would seem to me that you could use half or even a third of the sauce, toss 'n coat, and still end up with the aforementioned result. With practically all of the sauce left over, information technology also brings upwards another reality which is that this recipe really doesn't have 23g of fatty per serving since you don't actually consume the butter sauce.
01/11/2010
These were very tasty. My youngest son LOVED them. I love the flavor the dearest gives it. A few changes I made: I add a trivial scrap of orange juice to my boiling h2o to give the carrots a footling more than zing. I as well agree that 1/2 cup butter is way too much! There was a lot of left over coat. Simply all-in-all a groovy tasting recipe!
08/13/2012
Kids loved them
02/nineteen/2011
Will utilize this i again with a couple of modifications. We don't need actress sauce to dip breadstuff in and then just made one-half equally much sauce as called for and used the 1 lb package of baby carrots. It was plenty. It was a tad sweet and so will decrease the honey and brown saccharide a bit next time. Also steamed the carrots instead of cooking in water. The flavor and texture were fantastic.
11/27/2011
Oh I only loved this recipe and so did my family, made a prissy change from plain carrots. I but know I will exist using this recipe again, Only change I fabricated was to halve the amount of butter, beloved and sugar as I idea it would be too sweetness for my family. Turned out delcious.
12/24/2011

Honey, Love, this recipe! The sauce is great! This makes a lot of sauce, but I love my carrots to exist drenched with sugary goodness! This was pretty expert. The only thing was in that location was also much butter and brown sugar, not and then much because of a health concern, merely more because it was a waste. A half a stick of butter and a couple tablespoons of brownish sugar was more than than enough, and I made more sixteen ozs of carrots. I would make this once more.
02/04/2011

ten/09/2010

11/18/2009
These were the greatest. MMMMM. My husband and I will exist eating more carrots from now on. Maybe a piffling less butter because I wanted them more gluey instead of runny sauce
11/xx/2011
I LOVED these. I only started liking cooked carrots about a twelvemonth ago and this was the get-go time I actually fabricated them as a side dish, instead of equally an ingredient in the chief dish. I cooked exactly as is. I read the reviews about there being as well much sauce, which I agree information technology is more than than you need for the carrots only it is and so darn skillful, it can also exist used for bread or probably even over meat. Delicious! Will absolutely brand over again

These weren't bad - I doubled it for my Easter crowd. They had a nice sweet flavoring merely not too sweet. I sprinkled them with fresh grated nutmeg when they were washed. 12/13/2014
This is groovy, I dearest simple, only like some others, I practice non intendance for over sweet. I cutting the sugar down to 2 TBSP, and reduced the butter past almost half. Also added a skilful pinch of sea salt. If yous similar extra sweet and drippy this is perfect. I am not proverb I do not similar the recipe because of this.. everyone has dissimilar preferences and I always say if a recipe is not suited to you lot, it is not wrong, it is simply a good beginning to find what does conform y'all. If drippy sweet were my thing, you lot would have gotten that last star for certain :)

I but made these for Easter dinner to rave reviews! To be fair I added 2 ingredients a touch footing ginger and a fiddling flake of orange zest because I had both on hand for my ham glaze. Otherwise I followed the recipe every bit is and added the ginger and orange zest to the pot while cooking down the butter/honey mixture. They came out neat and I will
08/08/2013
Delicious! I have finally plant a fashion for my husband and kids to consume cooked carrots! I reduced the amount of sauce based on other reviews (cut everything in half). It didn't take away from he flavor, only didn't waste extra sauce that I knew we wouldn't continue or employ. I've made this twice now and my carrots seem to cook differently each fourth dimension. Nothing to do with the recipe, just something I noticed. This recipe reminds me of Cracker Barrel'due south carrots...delish! I call up I'll try to apply this recipe as a base for making mashed carrots next time. Cheers for sharing!

01/26/2010
Like many previous reviewers, I also thought this made a lot of sauce. Only thanks, MrsAltmiller, for explaining why you go far that style. Overall, this was a very adept recipe. I might have liked this even more if the sauce was more of a glaze (not sure how to do that) than a sauce. The sauce tasted kind of similar something y'all might have for breakfast (on waffles?) or dessert (over ice foam?). A very tasty way to consume infant carrots thanks!
04/23/2019
fabricated these for a oversupply of 10. Bully reviews all around, though I was running out of time and needed the pot for some other dish (it was Easter) so after draining the carrots, I popped them into a casserole dish, stirred in the sauce, and popped it in the oven to finish. The sauce never thickened into a glaze, merely I imagine that's because I didn't finish it on the stove.
10/03/2011
This recipe is delicious and very simple to make! I did non read previous suggestions to halve the coat and the sauce was manner likewise much. Next time will halve the glaze for sure. I as well did not accept brown sugar on mitt and then used half a cup of white sugar and a Tbsp of night corn syrup instead. Recipe tastes delicious fifty-fifty with commutation. Volition exist making again with the brown carbohydrate as I'm sure information technology'll exist even better!!! Will apply this as my caramelized carrot recipe from at present on!!
07/26/2010
very practiced never fail recipe. This is one of our family unit favorites.

07/02/2012

02/fourteen/2019
